<div>The following recommendations were provided regarding palliative and end-of-life care:</div> <div> <ul> <li>The team involved in end-of-life decisions should include healthcare providers with training in how to manage communication with the families and care providers of critically ill ICU patients (Low-level evidence).</li> <li>Early palliative care should include consultation with palliative care specialists for improving quality of life and aligning care to patient goals (Expert opinion on clinical application).</li> <li>End of life situations should be tailored to the culture and needs of the patient and their families and care providers where possible (Expert opinion on clinical application).</li> </ul> </div>
