All of the included studies reported on instruments that demonstrated adequate methodological quality. "The Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation [GFTA and GFTA-2] ... and Arizona Articulation Proficiency Scale [AAPS] ... are standardized and norm-referenced tests with ample evidence of validity and reliability, supporting their psychometric integrity and the reliability of their results" (p. 28). The authors noted a lack of studies investigating speech assessment in adolescence.
