The findings suggest that use of technology-based graphic organizers/concept maps were beneficial for improving the academic outcomes of children with learning disabilities, with higher effect sizes noted when the intervention included: explicit instruction, guided practice, and feedback. Overall, studies reported positive outcomes for written expression and content knowledge; however, outcomes for reading comprehension were mixed.
