There were no significant difference between remote and face-to-face modalities of LSVT regarding voice outcomes for individuals with PD.

Results indicated that, when compared to the no intervention group, LSVT yielded greater positive effects on vocal loudness immediately after treatment (increase = 6.66 db to 13.39) and 1-month post-treatment (increase = 3.35 dB to 8.87 dB). Additional findings include:

Significant improvements in voice-related quality of life were reported immediately following treatment for LSVT compared to no treatment group (mean difference = -15.99).

When compared with speech respiratory training, LSVT was indicated to have a better effect on improving the reported voice problems of patients with Parkinson's disease, with statistically significant differences noted at 24 months post-treatment.
