The results of this review support the effectiveness of early and/or intensive behavioral intervention. However, the authors do not conclude that one particular early and/or intensive behavioral intervention is more effective than another. Further, "direct empirical evidence that early compared to later intervention has a specific positive benefit is not yet available" (p. 24).
