<div>Seven studies investigating the effects of the Lidcombe Program reported decreased stuttering severity for children who stutter in non-native English-speaking countries (i.e., Bulgaria, China, Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, Sweden, the Netherlands). The authors found that the Lidcombe Program was able to be adapted to meet the needs of bilingual children and their families (e.g., additional clinic visits, additional parental training). The authors found that it took longer to reach stage 2 of the Lidcombe Program for children in non-native English-speaking countries as compared to native English-speaking children.</div>
<div>Studies investigating caregiver perspectives on the Lidcombe Program found that while parents of children who stutter in non-native English-speaking countries describe the program as demanding and time-consuming, parents would recommend the program to others and developed positive attitudes regarding the Lidcombe Program therapy process.</div>
