<div>Following computer-based executive function interventions, participants had some improvements in executive function skills. However, these effects were also reflected in active control groups. Both functional and structural brain changes were found in the two studies that examined neural effects. The methodological limitations of most included studies made it impossible to separate true effects from spontaneous recovery, re-test effects, and placebo effects. Further rigorously-designed research is warranted.</div>
