Although results did not indicate specific linguistic forms or verbal behavior functions, Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) was reported to have an affect on the verbal behavior function of manding; however, the findings were unable to clarify the extent of PRT's effects on other verbal behavior functions (e.g., tacts, echoics, and intraverbals). Results did indicate promising evidence that communication skills gained from PRT can be generalized to new people, settings, materials, and/or activities.
