<p>"Hearing aids improve participation, overall health-related quality of life and listening ability in adults with mild to moderate hearing loss" (Moderate Quality; p. 22). Hearing aids demonstrated the effects in the following areas:</p><ul> <li>a large beneficial effect in improving participation;</li> <li>a small beneficial effect in overall quality of life measures;</li> <li>a large beneficial effect for listening ability; and</li> <li>no adverse effects measured or reported (p. 20).</li></ul>
