<div>For adults with acquired brain injury, three low-quality studies investigating resistance training to improve lip closure in central facial palsy reported inconsistent effects. Other studies investigating interventions within the scope of speech-language pathology (i.e., neuromuscular electrical stimulation, mirror therapy, and exercises with electromyography biofeedback) were limited and no conclusions were reported. Due to the small number of available studies, no conclusion regarding the efficacy of central facial palsy interventions can be made. Additional high-quality research on central facial palsy treatment is needed.</div>
