<div>When using SGD interventions, most participants (87%) showed some degree of improvement in vocal utterances in individuals on the autism spectrum. These included increased vocalizations, improved expressive vocabulary, increased word approximations, increased spontaneous language, more new words spoken, and a greater number of turns taken in communication. No studies found a decrease in spoken language with SGD interventions.</div>
