Twenty studies investigating therapeutic maneuver treatment for individuals with anterior-canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (AC-BPPV) found "an overall success rate of 85.6% for AC-BPPV" (p. 266). Three categories of maneuvers demonstrated the following success rates: Epley, or reverse Epley maneuver (75.9%), Yacovino (78.8%), and other maneuvers (92%).

This systematic review compared the results of six studies investigating the Epley maneuver to five studies investigating non-lateralizing maneuvers (e.g., Yacovino, Crevits, Crevits variants) finding "maneuvers that do not require identification of the affected labyrinth demonstrate sufficiently high success rates" (p. 265).
