This review investigates the effects of cognitive strategy instruction on the comprehension of expository text in school-aged children with learning disabilities.
Based on the findings from 18 experimental or quasi-experimental group design studies, cognitive strategy instruction is an evidence-based treatment for teaching comprehension of expository text to children with learning disabilities.
