This systematic review investigates the effects of parent-mediated interventions (i.e., behavioral interventions and parent training) on behavioral outcomes in children with cerebral palsy (CP) and their parents.

<div>No randomized control trials examining parenting interventions were found. Three pre/post studies examining the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk program, a functional communication training program and an oral-motor exercise program, "suggest that parenting interventions may be effective in improving child behavioral and parenting outcomes" (p. 482). Further research is warranted.</div>
