The authors "conclude that the results of this review offer little that could be used to advance evidence-based practice in communication intervention for individuals with Rett syndrome. There is simply insufficient evidence to support any particular approach to intervention for this population.... The evidence-base supporting current approaches to communication intervention for individuals with Rett syndrome remains inconclusive" (p. 315).
