<div>Although results suggested that visual supports can be used successfully by children and adults on the autism spectrum, strong conclusions were not drawn due to the limited number and quality of the included studies. Findings indicated that parents had positive experiences with using visual supports (e.g., sequence charts, timers, social stories), but reported a need for improved support and training to facilitate and maintain the use of visual supports over time.</div>
