<div>Findings demonstrated that communication interventions with family involvement for culturally and linguistically diverse children with IDD or those on the autism spectrum generally had positive parental outcomes (e.g., communication strategy use, communication opportunities, parental responsiveness) and child communication outcomes (expressing of wants and needs, exchanging information, verbal responses). Due to small sample sizes, an overall paucity of research, and poorly defined characteristics of interventions, further research is needed.</div>
