The authors of this review report that "very little research explores assistive technology that enables internet access for individuals who are deafblind" (p. 284) and that "current research has not demonstrated consideration for the heterogeneous nature of the deafblind population particularly when it comes to choice of communication method, which can limit usability of the proposed assistive technologies" (p. 284). "A deafblind user may need multiple assistive technologies to maintain adequate internet usage" (p. 284).
