No differences in outcomes were noted between direct, indirect, and hybrid approaches (e.g., clinician-led and clinicians coaching others to lead interventions). The majority of studies (31/34) reported positive outcomes for expressive vocabulary. Mixed outcomes were noted regarding receptive vocabulary. Limitations included variability in the methodological quality of the included studies.
