Studies examining sentence production assessments used various language tests or tasks (e.g., sentence completion, sentence repetition, story retelling), spontaneous speech during free conversation or a combined assessment approach. Inter-rater and intra-rater reliability of assessments was greater than 90% with both language tasks and spontaneous speech appearing to be beneficial in identifying sentence production deficits in individuals with aphasia. Further research is warranted to establish standardized assessments to assist clinicians with evaluating agrammatic aphasia.<br />
