<div>Limitations to this review include a small number of studies found examining dysphagia in ICU patients, heterogeneity of the assessments included, and the exclusion of single test items. Further research is warranted to determine the validity of non-instrumental assessments for identifying post-extubation dysphagia in this population.</div>
