In studies investigating therapeutic patient education interventions for adults with oropharyngeal dysphagia, patients reported that viewing medical videos increased stress, and instead, preferred the use of regular pictures and videos. Patients, especially those with lower levels of literacy, preferred information read aloud or audio-recorded.
