The majority of the included studies (nine out of 14 studies) indicated that patients' quality of life (QoL) improved with enteral tube feeding. The varying outcomes of the effect of enteral tube feeding on QoL may be due to types of gastrostomy tubes, enteral feeding methods, the patients' medical conditions, and the type of QoL measurement tool used.
