The included studies investigated various exercise-based approaches, such as tongue exercises, head lift exercises, respiratory muscle strength training, mandible exercises, and lip muscle training. "Given the wide variability in treatment methods reported across articles, and the variety of outcomes reported, it was not possible to determine the 'best' or 'most effective dose' of resistance exercise for the treatment of dysphagia" (p. 26).
