Findings demonstrated positive outcomes for speech therapy with music-based elements including improvements in verbal expression; speech development and production; intonation; socialization; and cognitive, emotional, and motor skills. However, due to an overall paucity of evidence, reduced sample sizes, and poor methodological rigor, the use of music-based speech therapy was not sufficiently supported by the available evidence. Further research is indicated.
