Findings demonstrated positive outcomes for speech therapy with music-based elements including improvements in verbal expression, speech development and production, intonation, socialization, and cognitive, emotional, and motor skills. However, due to an overall paucity of evidence, reduced sample sizes, and poor methodological rigor, the use of music-based speech therapy was not sufficiently supported by the available evidence. Further research is indicated.
