This is an update of a 2006 review and corresponding guideline from the joint task force of the European Federation of Neurological Societies and the Movement Disorder Society. The guideline provides recommendations for the management of late uncomplicated Parkinson’s disease. The target audience of this guideline is primarily medical doctors involved in the pharmacological management of individuals with Parkinson's disease. However, the guideline also provides recommendations for nonpharmacological interventions, including speech-language pathology treatments.
