Findings demonstrate that the Acoustic Voice Quality Index is a valid objective measure for dysphonia severity, with a pooled sensitivity of 0.83 (ranged 52-100%) and a pooled specificity of 0.89 (ranged 70-100%). Heterogeneity between study design is a notable limitation to this review.
