<div>A subset of studies included in the review examined cognitive rehabilitation approaches for adults with acquired brain injury. While the majority of studies examined compensatory treatments to improve prospective memory, all treatment approaches (compensatory, restorative, and metacognitive) revealed positive results. These included internal compensatory strategies and external strategies, including assistive technology. However, further research from well-designed studies is warranted.</div>
