EAN Consensus Statement for Management of Patients With Neurological Diseases During the COVID‐19 Pandemic

This consensus-based guideline provides recommendations for neurologists caring for patients with COVID-19. Only the recommendations relevant to the practice of speech-language pathology or audiology will be summarized.

<div>During the COVID-19 pandemic:</div>
<ul>
<li>Specialist consultations should be provided via telepractice where available to identify those patients who need a face to face appointment.</li>
<li>Neurological diseases requiring ICU admission such as traumatic brain injury or stroke have to be managed as usual, independent of COVID-19 infection status.</li>
<li>Those in the ICU must be evaluated and followed for cognitive impairment.</li>
</ul>
