Results indicated limited evidence that established evidence-based approaches (e.g., behavioral interventions, modeling, prompting) that specifically targeted prosody over a longer period of time yielded moderate to large improvements in prosody for individuals on the autism spectrum. Intensity and global intonation were reported to be the most successful targets of intervention.
