<div>Among the identified tools adapted for Chinese populations, methodological quality assessment showed that the 4AT demonstrated the highest quality ratings, followed by the 3D-CAM (3-Minute Diagnostic Interview for Confusion Assessment Method), CAM-ICU, CAM-ICU-7, and S-PTD (Stanford Proxy Test for Delirium).</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Seven adapted delirium scales provided measures of diagnostic accuracy: the CAM, 3D-CAM, CAM-CR, CAM-ICU, CAM-ICU-7, 4AT, and Nu-DESC (Nursing Delirium Screening Scale). These tools demonstrated a pooled sensitivity of 0.93 and a pooled specificity of 0.94. </div>

<div>Limitations of this review include the varying levels of quality of the delirium scales. Additional research is needed to investigate assessment scales for infants and children, tools for assessing stress in care providers, and additional data analysis of adapted delirium scales.</div>
