Findings demonstrated the following:

Combined treatments of rTMS and cognitive training and/or language intervention improved cognition and language in people with Alzheimer's disease.

Positive, but statistically insignificant, effects were noted on psychosocial factors and quality of life.

Combined treatments appeared to have greater effects that any component in isolation.

The findings of this review should be interpreted with caution due to a limited body of evidence, small sample sizes, heterogeneity between studies, and the lack of comprehensive language and cognition assessment within included studies. Additional, high quality research is indicated.
