Four studies from India were found concerning speech-language pathology exercise interventions in head and neck cancer. The studies "indicated improvement in speech proficiency and intelligibility, voice quality, and deglutition" (p. 14), but methodological quality was low. Further research on head and neck cancer in India is indicated in "prevalence of speech and language, oromotor, and deglutition impairments, current clinical trends in exercise prescription and timing of initiation of exercise programs" (p. 14).
