Individuals who have sustained a concussion should be referred to an audiologist with appropriate qualifications and concussion experience to treat symptoms of tinnitus, sensitivity to sound, and/or hearing loss.

Individuals who have sustained a concussion should receive timely, evidence-based treatments and best practices from a clinic team or network of interdisciplinary healthcare providers with expertise in concussion management. To access specialized healthcare providers as needed, telepractice should be considered.

Individuals who have sustained a concussion should be referred to a speech-language pathologist with appropriate qualifications and concussion experience to treat cognitive-communication deficits, motor speech deficits, swallowing deficits, and/or social communication deficits for return-to-school or work.
