For screening cognition in individuals with stroke, the BNIS demonstrated a sensitivity of 80% and specificity of 38.9% using a cut score of 47 (1 study).<br /><br />Limitations of this review include the lack of commercial availability of the BNIS in the USA and the potential bias of the authors who assisted in the publication of the BNIS Administration manual.
For screening cognition in individuals with Alzheimer's disease, the BNIS demonstrated a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 90% using a cut score of 40 (1 study).<br /><br />Limitations of this review include the lack of commercial availability of the BNIS in the USA and the potential bias of the authors who assisted in the publication of the BNIS Administration manual.
