Findings demonstrated a lack of evidence to support caregiver coaching for children aged 6 or below who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) receiving listening and spoken language services. This is due to a paucity of high-quality research on the topic and significant heterogeneity between studies regarding coaching model. Emerging support for increased fidelity in paternal use of communication strategies, improved changes in attitudes and behaviors of carepartners and teachers, and expressive vocabulary gains in children who are DHH was noted. Further research is warranted.
