"This review suggests that [structured questionnaires] SQs have limitations when used alone as screening measures and are unlikely to be reliable indicators of who should go on to have a full [autism spectrum disorder] ASD diagnostic assessment" (p. 303). This review, however, indicated support of the NICE (2014) guidelines' recommendations on the use of SQs and diagnostic measures in combination rather than in isolation.
