Findings demonstrated a moderate effect of point-of-view video modeling on targeted skills (IRD= 0.78, 95% CI= 0.76 to -.80). Specific findings were as follows:

Large effects were noted for independent living skills (IRD= 0.81) and moderate effects were noted for social-communication skills (IRD= 0.56). There was insufficient data to calculate the effect for play.

Large effects were noted for interventions using priming (IRD= 0.72,) and prompting (IRD= 0.88, 95% CI= 0.85 to 0.91), while a small effect was noted for combined methods (IRD= 0.23).

Large effects were noted for prompt only (IRD= 0.77), instruction only (IRD= 0.75), and combined instruction and prompt interventions (IRD= 0.82). A statistically smaller, moderate effect was noted for no instruction or prompt (IRD=0.55).

POV video modeling alone (IRD= 0.86) had significantly greater effect than those for package interventions (IRD=0.74) and with interventions including reinforcement (IRD= 0.72).

Large effects were noted for individuals with developmental disabilities (IRD= 0.73) and for individuals on the autism spectrum (IRD= 0.81).

Large effects were noted for secondary (11-17 years old; IRD= 0.79) and postsecondary (18+ years old; IRD= 0.85) ages, while moderate effects were noted for preschool (2-5 years old; IRD= 0.68) and elementary (6-10 years old; IRD= 0.63) ages.
