Findings reported that children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) demonstrated more consistent and significant improvement in social play skills, pragmatic language, and problem solving when social skills interventions incorporated typically developing peers. Five of the 15 included studies reported that children with ADHD maintained social skills gains at follow-up; however, none of the included studies reported a follow-up assessment past 18 months, so the long-term effects were reported as inconclusive.
