Overall, findings indicated mixed effectiveness of vocabulary interventions to improve vocabulary skills in adolescents with language disorder. Semantic-only interventions and phonological-versus-semantic interventions were inconclusive. Evidence for a combined phonological-semantic approach indicated stronger effectiveness, but evidence was limited due to the methodological variability of the included studies.
