Not stated

From database inception to April 18, 2018

Randomized controlled trials; pre-post multiple baseline; waitlist control designs (excludes single-case studies)

11 studies included in the systematic review; 8 studies included in the meta-analysis

Non-pharmacological social interventions  had no significant effect on social functioning in adolescents with ADHD per parent or teacher report. The majority of studies (6 of 8) included in the meta-analysis investigated variations of the Challenging Horizons Program (CHP), an intervention targeting social, academic, and organizational functioning. Further research is indicated due to an overall pauticty of evidence.
