Four interventions for treating AC-BPPV showed a high symptom resolution rate. "All four of the interventions were easy to administer and could be safely applied to individuals of various ages and physical abilities" (Level 4 Evidence; p. 84).

The treatment described by Yacovino et al. (2009) resulted in the best one-treatment resolution rate in 100% of patients. This maneuver required the subject to: sit with head in neutral, move to supine position with head extended 30 degrees off the table, move to a flexed position after 30 seconds, and then move to seated position with head in neutral after 30 seconds.

Casani et al. (2011) described an intervention similar to Yacovino et al. (2009) that required longer periods of time to complete the maneuver.

After two treatments, the Korres et al. (2010) treatment resulted in 100% resolution. This treatment involved 45 degree and 90 degree head rotations.

The treatment described by Kim et al. (2005) exhibited resolution after: two treatments in 80% of patients, three treatments in 93% of patients, and four in 97% of patients with AC-BPPV. This treatment included a 45 degree head rotation toward the unaffected side, followed by 45 degree head extension off the end of the table in supine position for 2 minutes, then returning to neutral position for 1 minute. Finally, the patient moves to a seated position with a 30 degree head flex and then back to neutral.
