Findings generally demonstrated positive improvements in targeted skills during and immediately following video-modeling intervention. Treatment targets varied across studies, but included compliance, reducing aggressive or inappropriate behaviors, attention, retention/comprehension, demonstration of target social behaviors/skills , goal oriented behaviors, friendship quality, on-task behaviors, and social play skills. Of note, limitations to this review included lack of methodologic rigor within included studies, small sample sizes, and heterogeneity in therapy targets. Findings should be interpreted with caution, and further research is needed to determine the efficacy of video-modeling interventions for children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
