Findings demonstrated an overall superiority of acoustic therapy over drug treatment in terms of number of cases ( 84.06% versus 58.58%), number of ears (80.51% versus 48.06%), Tinnitus Handicap Inventory scores, and tinnitus severity as measured by the Visual Analog Scale. Reduced methodological rigor, lack of maintenance testing, and paucity of overall research were notable limitations for this review. Further research is indicated.
