<div>Two interventions demonstrated strong evidence of effects on employment outcomes in individuals on the autism spectrum [i.e., Project SEARCH plus autism spectrum disorder (ASD) supports and supported employment interventions]. The authors also found virtual reality job interview training and transition-to-employment high school programs, particularly those with career counseling and intensive job support services components, resulted in competitive employment outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum. Other employment transition resources such as customized employment practices and technologies that teach interviewing skills and target independence at work demonstrate promise, but more research is needed. Sheltered workshops did not demonstrate efficacy. The authors conclude that more research on competitive integrated employment interventions for individuals on the autism spectrum is required.</div>
