Findings indicated compelling evidence for the effectiveness of developmental social pragmatic (DSP) interventions on improving foundational social communication skills, such as attention, joint attention bids, reciprocal interactions, and initiating communication. Results demonstrated mixed effectiveness of DSP interventions for the enhancement of child language, but indicated that DSP interventions can potentially enhance caregiver interaction styles.
