<div>Given the small number of studies, heterogeneity of the patients included and heterogeneity of the treatments studied, no firm conclusions can be drawn on the effects of alexia treatments. However, the authors conclude that tactile/kinesthetic treatments were promising for improving letter identification for individuals with severe alexia and multiple oral rereading treatments were promising for improving reading speed for individuals with pure alexia. Further research is needed.</div>
