<div>Only one included study examined an SLP intervention for swallowing. This randomized control trial compared honey-thickened liquids, nectar-thickened liquids, and a chin-down posture in individuals with in adults with Parkinson’s disease dementia. Videofluorographic swallow studies revealed that the use of honey-thickened fluids was superior to the other two methods in preventing fluid aspiration. Due to the paucity of literature in this area, further research is warranted.</div>
