<div>The evidence was insufficient to determine the effect of speech or swallowing treatment following partial glossectomy in adults with tongue cancer. Given multiple treatments combined within studies, and lack of methodological quality across studies, "it remains unclear what the active ingredients were" (p. 408) for successful treatment. Therefore, "the body of literature does not provide reliable evidence for the therapy methods or techniques investigated and currently is insufficient to guide current clinical practice" (p. 408).</div>
