What Works Clearinghouse outcomes support the use of FCT with AAC as an evidence-based practice (EBP) for reducing challenging behavior in children with developmental disabilities in school settings. The Council for Exceptional Children quality indicators suggest that FCT with AAC is potentially an EBP. Similarly, according to results from Single-Case Analysis Review Framework, there was not enough evidence to classify the intervention as an EBP.
